The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has extended the flood warning for the Flint River through Saturday. With a predicted crest of 25.9 feet, the flood stage is considered minor. Last January, the Flint River reached a height of 30.28 feet, reaching the 11th highest mark in recorded history. The flood of 1994 reached a height of 37.20 feet.

The Flood Warning continues for the Flint River at Bainbridge (US 27). * From late Tuesday night, or until the warning is cancelled. * At 7:45 PM Monday the stage was 22.0 feet. * Minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 25.0 feet. * Forecast: Rise above flood stage by Wednesday morning and continue to rise to near 25.9 feet by Thursday morning. The river will fall below flood stage by early Saturday morning. * Impact: At 25 feet: Minor lowland flooding begins.
