Bearcat Baseball Wins Game 2, Advances to Final Four

The Bearcat Baseball team defeated the Cedartown Bulldogs on Tuesday in Game 2 of the best of three series, advancing to the Final Four.

The Cats never trailed in the second game, winning 8-4 en route to the team’s first ever Final Four appearance.  Senior Jackson McCollough pitched 6 strong innings and Sophomore Bo Smith homered twice to send the Bearcats to the Final Four for the first time in school history.

The Bearcats (28-3) will travel to Marist (29-9) to play the best of three series on Saturday.  The games will be broadcast on Live 1019 and online at  The winner of the weekend series will advance to the AAAA State Championship.
