Pelham Schools Threat Determined to be a Hoax

According to Superintendent Fort, the threat against the Pelham City Schools has been determined to be a hoax and school is returning to normal operation

Original Story (12:30 pm):

According to Pelham City Schools Superintendent Floyd Fort, the Pelham City School System has been on a “soft lockdown” since early Friday morning after a Facebook post concerning clowns and threatening the schools was posted.

The soft lockdown means that all schools are functioning normally, but educators and administrators are “highly vigilant” watching external entrances and exits. As of 12:45 pm, classes were operating as normal.

Mr. Fort further stated that the Pelham Police Department was investigating the matter and there was no known immediate danger.
