In a press release Thursday afternoon, Commander Eric Schwalls of the Pataula Drug Task Force announced the arrest of Roy Ivester, age 56, of Climax.

Climax, GA – On Wednesday, August 3, 2016, ASSISTANT SPECIAL AGENT IN CHARGE ERIC SCWHALLS and SPECIAL AGENT BRIAN DONALSON of the Pataula Drug Task Force arrested ROY IVESTER, 56, of 750 Antioch Church Road, Climax, GA. IVESTER was charged with one (1) count of manufacturing marijuana.
The Pataula Drug Task Force was provided information that marijuana was being grown in the area of 750 Antioch Church Road, Climax, GA. While investigating the complaint ASAC SCHWALLS and SA DONALSON located (4) four suspected marijuana plants. The investigation continued and ROY IVESTER was identified as a suspect. During the investigation enough evidence was obtained for the arrest of IVESTER.
IVESTER was arrested and taken to the Decatur County Jail without incident. This investigation is ongoing and will be turned over to the District Attorney’s Office when completed.
