Flint River Flood Update: Monday, February 8, 2016

According to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, the Flint River crested on Sunday at 23.95 feet, just short of the flood stage for Bainbridge.  The graph below shows that the water level began rising on Thursday morning around 9:00 a.m. and continued until it reached a high point on Sunday morning around 9:00. Earlier this year, the Flint River reached a flood stage of 30.28 feet on January 4.  The low water level of 17.00 feet for the Flint River at Bainbridge was recorded in April of 1999, 13 months after the flood of 1998.
