Bainbridge players receive All-State football team honors

metal_football_trophy_WEBBainbridge High School sophomore running back Dameon Pierce is part of the Georgia Class AAAA All-State football team, as selected by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Pierce rushed for 2,060 yards and 33 touchdowns on the season, averaging 147 rushing yards per game.

Bainbridge High School senior wide receiver Tyler Storey received Honorable Mention for Class AAAA. Storey caught 72 passes for 1,243 yards and 8 touchdowns on the season.

Bainbridge High School junior offensive lineman Ladarius Garnes also received Honorable Mention for Class AAAA.

Trevor Lawrence of Cartersville High School was named the Class AAAA Offensive Player of the Year, while Cartersville Head Coach Joey King was named Class AAAA Coach of the Year. Buford’s Shug Frazier was named Class AAAA Defensive Player of the Year.

Other Southwest Georgia players receiving honors were Early County senior defensive lineman Randy Wade, named to the defense on AJC’s All-State Class AA team.
