Southwest Georgia Farm Credit photo contest has begun

irrigation_system2If you have a camera, then we are looking for your best digital photos of rural life! The 2015 Southwest Georgia Farm Credit Rural Living Photo Contest is about to get underway, marking the seventh year for this competition.  Photos will be judged in four categories:

  1. Kids and Nature
  2. Life on the Farm
  3. At Home in the Country
  4. Rural Landscapes (no people, just gorgeous shots of the land!)

“As we begin the celebration of the Farm Credit System’s 100th anniversary, this year’s photo contest is a perfect reminder of the importance of agriculture in our rural communities,” said Liz Nogowski, marketing and administrative officer. “This contest is a way to encourage people to look around and see the beauty of rural landscapes, farms, ranches, our farmers at work or their children in the field. It’s a way to capture the generations and look to the future—a simple slice of rural life captured in a photo.”

The contest officially began June 1, 2015.  Deadline for entries is August 24, 2015.  Visit the News Tab at www.SWGAFarmCredit.com for official rules and entry forms.
