Former Bainbridge baseball player named to collegiate ‘Gold Glove’ team

Thomas University baseball player Tate Lambert, a freshman from Bainbridge, has been named to the The Sun Conference 2015 Gold Glove team, as announced by the conference office Wednesday.

All nine student-athletes on the conference team will move on to the Rawlings-NAIA Gold Glove national ballot.

Freshman pitcher Lambert had a stellar start to his collegiate career with a 7-4 season record and 3.44 ERA in 70.2 innings. The left-hander threw 69 strikeouts, good for nearly a one an inning on average. He helped his own cause with a 1.000 fielding percentage in 25 chances with three putouts and 22 assists in his rookie season.
