The Carter Arts and Lecture Series and Bainbridge State College Student Government Association are pleased to welcome the Tallahassee Ballet to the Charles H. Kirbo Regional Center with An Evening of Music and Dance as part of the International Education Month celebration on Thursday evening, Nov. 20.
Doors will open at 7 p.m., with performance beginning at 7:30 p.m. The performance is free and open to the public.
For forty years, the Tallahassee Ballet has provided local residents with renditions of some of the world’s renowned ballets, while serving as a state of the art training ground for emerging dance professionals.
The Tallahassee Ballet presents quality ballet productions, such as the one it will bring to the BSC campus, that stimulate appreciation for dance and cultural arts in the community, with performances featuring live orchestration., exquisite hand-made costumes and innovative choreography.
The Company is composed of a diverse group of 50 to 60 dancers selected annually through competitive auditions, while the School offers courses for dancers of all levels of experience. Dancers are primarily trained under the direction of professional ballet masters and mistresses, yet dancers have had the opportunity to perform with more than 500 guest choreographers, artists, teachers and musicians over the years.
