Forecast Discussion
Across southern portions of the Gulf Coast states, warm and moist air ahead of the low pressure system will result in the potential for showers and thunderstorms, some of which could be severe through Monday.

Another unseasonably cold Arctic air mass will invade most of the central
and eastern U.S. in the wake of the frontal system, with forecast
temperatures on Monday and Tuesday 20 to 40 degrees below average for many
locations.
