Grace Christian Academy is excited to announce the addition of Ryan Riles to our staff. Riles will coach GCA baseball and teach conditioning classes.
Ryan graduated high school from Tallavanna in Havana, FL where he played baseball and basketball. After high school, Ryan attended Middle Georgia on a baseball scholarship and later transferred to Albany State University on a baseball scholarship. While at ASU, Riles graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education.
During his years on the field, Ryan received many accolades including High School Basketball MVP (1999-2000, 2000-2001); 2x All-Conference, 5x All-Tournament Team. While playing high school baseball, he earned 3x MVP, All Defensive Team, All Offensive Team, 3x All-Conference, 7x All-Tournament Team.
His college titles include 1st Team All-Conference, Newcomer of the Year, and he was selected to play in the GJCAA Allstar game.
After graduating from college, Ryan decided to move back to his hometown of Bainbridge to give back to the youth. Riles owns an indoor training facility and offers private baseball and softball lessons. His training focuses on skills, speed, agility, strength, batting, fielding and form to produce the best athlete possible.
According to Riles, as a former student-athlete, he is aware of the importance of working hard at your craft and enhancing the ability the Lord has blessed you with. “Being part of a team and striving for excellence taught me that hard work and dedication does pay off both on and off the field,” Riles commented.
As a Christian, Ryan will help continue to mold GCA students in their faith and love of sports.
