The Bainbridge Public Safety Department welcomed a new member of the squad this week. Officer Jayson Myers, a 3 and a half year veteran of the force will be handling “Kenzo” who is trained in narcotics detection and tracking. In a facebook post, BPS noted that the duo had recently completed training in Dooly County and would be hitting the streets soon.
“Bainbridge Georgia…meet KENZO! Kenzo, a young German Shepherd, will be two years old in November. He and his handler, Officer Jayson Myers, just completed 4 weeks (160 hours) of training in Dooly County. Kenzo is trained in “Narcotic Detection & Tracking” and will be a valuable member of the Bainbridge Public Safety Department!”
Officer Myers and Kenzo were recognized by the Mayor and City Council Tuesday night and are pictured below with Mayor Edward Reynolds, Chief Jerry Carter and Deputy Chief Frank Green.
