Early lead gives Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets Varsity victory over Americus, 11-1

An eight-run explosion in the third inning led Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets Varsity to an 11-1 win in six innings over Americus on Tuesday.

Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets Varsity scored in the third on a two-run single by Keyton Smith, an RBI single by Carlton Ogletree, a hit by pitch, a hit by pitch, a wild pitch, an RBI single by Colby Melton, and an error.

Ogletree got on base three times in the game for Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets Varsity. He scored two runs and had one RBI.

Smith put together a nice outing. Smith gave up just three hits, allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out two during his six innings of work.
