Despite hit advantage, Bainbridge Bearcats Varsity drops 7-4 game to Thomas County Central

Bainbridge Bearcats Varsity lost 7-4 in seven innings at Bearcat Field on Wednesday, despite outhitting Thomas County Central 10 to six.

Seth Hall was hot from the plate for Bainbridge Bearcats Varsity. Hall went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second, third, and sixth innings.

Keyton Smith recorded the win for Thomas County Central. He allowed four runs over seven innings. Smith struck out one, walked one and gave up 10 hits.

The Bainbridge varsity baseball team is back in action on Friday, April 10 against Monroe in Albany, GA; game time is 5:30 p.m. The Bearcats will be back on Live 101.9 FM on April 20.

Tyler Braswell took the loss for Bainbridge Bearcats Varsity. He lasted 5 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed five runs.

Thomas County Central jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Stone Stephenson singled to ignite Thomas County Central’s offense.

Bainbridge Bearcats Varsity quickly matched Thomas County Central’s strong inning with a one-run inning of its own in the third. Bainbridge Bearcats Varsity scored on an RBI single by Hall.

Thomas County Central never surrendered the lead after the fourth inning, scoring two runs on a two-run error.
