Trash pickup days changing for some Bainbridge residents

According to Public Services Director, Steve Winburn, the city is restructuring city trash collection routes to better serve the citizens of Bainbridge. Two collection days, Wednesday and Thursday, have been added to the collection schedule and will REPLACE pick-up on Mondays and Tuesdays for some city residents.

NOT ALL RESIDENTS WILL BE AFFECTED

City residents living within the area located south of Shotwell Street and north of College Street within the Bypass, will have their trash collected on WEDNESDAY of each week.

City residents living within the area located south of the Flint River and the Bypass, and west of Highway 27, will have their trash collected on WEDNESDAY of each week.

City residents living within the area located south of College Street within the bypass will have their trash collected on THURSDAY of each week.

City residents living off of Highway 84 East on Randolph Court, Pilgrim Way, Wildhack Road, or in “Campus Colony,” will have their trash collected on THURSDAY of each week.

Residents NOT affected by the restructuring are those who reside in areas located north of Shotwell Street, in the Lake Douglas area, in West Bainbridge, and north of the Flint River.
