East Coast Pyrotechnics has promised an amazing and excellent display of fireworks this year for the Lake Seminole Lions Club’s annual Fourth on the Third Independence Day Celebration. The event is set again this year for July 3rd at Seminole State Park on Hwy. 253.
Lake Seminole Lions Club members are working hard planning the event and they are still looking for additional co-sponsors to help put on the show. The Club does this show each year for the enjoyment of all the lake and surrounding area citizens.
“Without the help of some of the loyal and committed businesses and people in and around Seminole County, we could not afford to do this show for the public,” commented a club member. The Lions Club does not get one penny of the money that is collected at the gate for admittance to the Park, as that money is used to support park services. Monetary assistance from the good hearted people who help year after year is appreciated and essential, and the club is asking others to join in to support and assist in financing the celebration.
The Lions will again have the concession stand open all day on July 3rd and they will be serving hamburgers, chili and hot dogs, chips, drinks and more so you can go by and purchase any of these items up until the show starts or until they run out of food. And of course they will have their famous tasty boiled peanuts available.
If further information is needed concerning this event, or you would like to reserve a vendor spot, contact Lake Lions member at one of the following numbers. Call 229-861-3258, 229-416-5515, 229-861-3553 or 229-861-3920.
The club meets on the fourth Monday of each month at the Spring Creek VFD Community Room at 7:00 PM and everyone is invited to come out and join them one night and see what the Lions are all about and about all of the other local projects we sponsor.
If you have old eye glasses, hearing aids, cell phones or glass cases laying around gathering dust, remember the Lions collect these items and recycle them so they can be distributed to those in need. The Lions motto is, “WE SERVE” and that’s what they try to do in the community.
Additional information will be coming soon, so go ahead and mark your calendar for fireworks at the lake on July 3rd.
