According to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, southwest Georgia could see severe weather today as a “cold front” moves into the area.
Overview:A moist and unstable airmass will be in place as a cold front approaches the area. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the front, with a few thunderstorms possibly becoming severe. Damaging wind gusts will be the primary hazard. Also expect torrential rainfall and frequent lightning with any thunderstorm that occurs.
