Original: Decatur County Sheriff Wiley Griffin gave public notice on Monday afternoon regarding a wanted man, 42 year old James Bennett Currin. Currin is considered armed and dangerous, according to Griffin, and should not be approached.
Photos show a white male with tattoos, a beard, and short, dark hair. His address is listed as Hines-Perkins Road in Climax. According to the Sheriff’s facebook post, Currin has warrants issued against him for aggravated assault on a police officer, among other charges.
As of 8:00 Tuesday morning, authorities had yet to arrest him.
