Cairo Shooting Results in One Death, Manhunt, and School Lock-downs

A Friday shooting in Cairo resulted in one man’s death and a brief manhunt while authorities searched for the suspect.

31 year old Joseph White was arrested and charged with the death of his brother, 33 year old Travis White.  According to reports, the two men were arguing and the disagreement resulted in shots being fired.  After the shooting, Joseph White fled the scene, which led to a brief manhunt and Grady County Schools going into lock-down for a brief time.

The suspect was eventually apprehended and schools were opened after a 40 minute lock-down.
