BPS: Burn Ban Lifted in Bainbridge

PRESS RELEASE

Bainbridge Public Safety Fire Chief Doyle Welch has lifted the burning ban within the city limits of Bainbridge effective Tuesday, November 13th at 2:30pm. Burn Permits are required.  Please call 229-248-2038 or stop by BPS Headquarters at 510 E. Louise Street. There is no charge for a burn permit.

If you intend to set fire to a pile of limbs/leaves, please make sure the fire is located at least 500′ away from any structures or larger piles of debris to which the fire could spread.

If the pile is larger than 4′ wide x 4′ high, an on-site inspection must be made before a burn permit will be issued. Contact Chief Welch at BPS to set up the inspection.
