Boat Accident on Lake Seminole

There was a two boat accident early Friday morning on Lake Seminole that sent one angler to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

The FLW Costa Series Southeastern Division event is being held on the lake Friday and Saturday with more than 200 boats and 400 anglers participating.  According to reports, two boats collided at low speed near Sealy’s cut.  Three of the anglers weren’t hurt, but one of the anglers was transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.  The first day of competition was cancelled due to high winds, however, wind and weather conditions are not suspected to have been a factor in the wreck.

The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
