On Friday, June 30th, an anonymous tip came through the City of Bainbridge website to Bainbridge Public Safety regarding drug activity at the Tropics Apartments on Hubert Dollar Drive. The tip stated that Michael Ashley Watson was selling marijuana and cocaine from his apartment.
On Friday, June 30 at 2:50pm, CID Investigators Chris Avery, Mark Esquivel, and Larry Funderburke approached the residence. Watson answered the door, and investigators smelled the strong odor of green marijuana coming from inside.
Watson was cooperative, and during a search, investigators located a black book bag containing a large amount of marijuana and a digital scale.
Watson was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell/Distribute (Felony).
Officers want to encourage the public to use the Anonymous Tip Link on the City of Bainbridge Website to report criminal activity.
