A devastating tornado left Albany and the surrounding areas in shambles Sunday. Sowegalive was able to take some video from the highway – in the interest of safety we didn’t venture from the road. As of Tuesday afternoon, workers were still actively clearing and beginning the long process of restoration.
The first video was taken on Newton Road near Nilo Plantation, just south of the Albany airport.
The second video is taken on US Highway 19 near the intersection of Holly Drive. The damage becomes visible at about the :50 mark.
