- VALDOSTA, GA (WCTV) – On Saturday around 7 p.m. at Perimeter Crossing Condos at 3412 N. Forrest St. A Valdosta man made a call to 911, making threats to kill police officers.
- WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (ALBANY HERALD) — One of three men arrested here Thursday on terrorism-related charges was born in Albany and was previously arrested in his hometown for shoplifting.
- SAPPHIRE, NC (CBS46) – Macon television station WMGT has confirmed that morning news anchor Taylor Terrell has died after losing her footing at the top of Rainbow Falls in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in North Carolina.
- MOODY AIR FORCE BASE (VALDOSTA TODAY) – After an above-the-knee amputation, one HC-130J pilot solidified her place in history as the sixth amputee and the first-female amputee to return to the cockpit July 22 at Moody Air Force Base.
