From the City of Bainbridge:
Due to the rise in water level of the Flint River, the Bainbridge area will experience moderate flooding this week. Beginning Monday afternoon, the Earle May Boat Basin will begin to see areas of flooding, and City of Bainbridge Campground will be closed as of this evening.
Water is not expected to cause damage or get high enough to enter homes, however, residents of Rivervale Road should expect to have flooding over the low point in the road and will need to take the necessary steps to prepare for this temporary travel barrier.
According to a Flood Warning issued by the National Weather Service, the Flint River will rise above flood stage this afternoon and continue to rise to near 29.4 feet by Thursday evening. Flood stage is 25.0 feet. At 9:45 A.M. on Monday morning, the stage was 24.6 feet. All persons living along the Flint River should monitor the latest forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect property. Do not drive though flooded areas.

* At 9:45 PM Sunday the stage was 23.7 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Forecast: Rise above flood stage by late Monday morning and
continue to rise to near 30.1 feet by Friday evening. Additional
rises are possible thereafter.
* Impact: At 29.7 feet: Flood waters will reach the elevation of the
docks at the asphalt company and Flint River Grain Mill in the West
Bainbridge area.
