The sentencing of three former Decatur County Sheriff’s deputies found guilty after a federal jury trial has been postponed.

The sentencing was scheduled for Tuesday, December 29 at 10 a.m. However, on Saturday, U.S. District Court Judge Louis W. Sands made an order continuing the case, essentially postponing the hearing until a date to be named later.

This is the second time the sentencing hearing was continued. The first time, the hearing was scheduled for Dec. 7.
