Recent Decatur County Sheriff’s Office Incident Reports

The following is a sampling of recent incidents reported by the Decatur County (GA) Sheriff’s Office. We do not list domestic incidents, out of respect for the victim’s safety, and we also redact citizens’ names and specific addresses, out of respect for their privacy.

  • On Tuesday, December 8, 2015, Investigator Jason Williams was provided information by a concerned citizen about a black and silver cargo trailer being located at a propert on Floyd Road. The concerned citizen stated they heard through a third party the trailer was stolen from somewhere in Albany, Georgia.
  • On Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at 2156 hours, Deputy Sam Hughes and Deputy Justin Kelly executed a Parole Warrant on Wade Allen at a residence on Gee Street.
  •   On Monday, December 7, 2015, at 0559 hours, Deputy John Presilla was dispatched to an address on Kelley Road, in reference to an Entering Auto.
  • On Monday, December 7, 2015 at 2246 hours Deputy Richard Hughes was dispatched to a house on the 4400 block of Fowlstown Road, in reference to a Deceased Person.
  • On Monday, December 7, 2015, Capt. Julian Crowder was advised of an inmate in the Decatur County Jail that had obstructed officers, damaged 2 government blankets and 1 vest while in custody of the Decatur County Jail. Capt. Crowder responded and began an investigation into the complaint.
  • On Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at 0759 hours, Deputy John Presilla was dispatched to the 1000 block of Zorn Road, in reference to a Burglary.
  • On Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at 1030 hours, Training Officer Ken Davidson was approached by Administrative Assistant Lynn Powell. Powell stated that Sheriff Griffin wanted someone to go investigate a complaint about dogs running loose in the Cloverleaf area.
  •   On Friday, December 4, 2015, at 1514 hours, Deputy Sam Hughes and Captain Brad Lambert responded to West Pecan Street, in reference to a possible overdose.
  • On Friday, December 4, 2015, at 2305 hours Deputy Justin Kelly responded to the 4400 block of Vada Road, in reference to damage to a group of mailboxes.
  • On Sunday, December 06, 2015, Deputy Vincent Edmond responded to Oakridge Road, in reference to a Burglary that happened on Harrell Road.
  • On Sunday, December 6, 2015, at 0009 hours Deputy Musgrove arrived at Camilla Police Dept. to pick up Edward Quail Scott. Scott had an Outstanding Bench Warrant for Fishing on a Closed WMA.
  • On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at 1144 hours, Deputy Sam Hughes and Captain Brad Lambert responded to Riverfront Road, in reference to a Deceased Person.
  • On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, Investigator Jason Williams arrested Nicholas Smith for two Outstanding Probation Violation Warrants.
  • On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at 2338 hours, Deputy Sam Hughes and C.I.D. Investigator Jason Williams executed a Warrant on offender, James Turner Benton.
