Bainbridge police make arrest after finding ‘Molly’ in man’s socks

Bainbridge Public Safety arrested a local man on Monday afternoon after reportedly finding the illegal drug known as “Molly” inside his clothing and socks.

BPS investigators received a tip that Willie Fred Williams, 29, Attapulgus, Ga., might be in possession of “Molly,” a party drug also known as ecstasy or the acronym “MDMA.”

According to BPS Investigator Mark Esquivel, officers found Williams sitting on a car parked outside a home on Water Street in Bainbridge on Monday afternoon. In a pat-down search, officers found a small amount of suspected Molly on Williams’ person. BPS officers Terry Pait and Chris Avery also found digital scales and plastic baggies inside the car Williams was sitting on.

Williams was arrested and taken to BPS Headquarters on Louise Street. In a more thorough search conducted at BPS headquarters, officers found a larger amount of suspected Molly inside Willie Williams’ sock.
