Citizens are invited to attend a fundraiser lunch and raffle that will be held Thursday, October 29 to benefit a City of Bainbridge employee being treated for cancer.
Grilled hamburgers and hot dogs will be sold and served up at the Potter Street Community Center in Bainbridge from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The purpose of the lunch, and a raffle that is also being held, is to raise money for Carl Gardner, who operates a street sweeper machine for the City of Bainbridge’s Public Works Division, according to Julie Harris, the City of Bainbridge’s public relations director. The lunch is being organized by Gardner’s co-workers, but the public is invited to attend.
