Recent Decatur County Sheriff’s Office Incident Reports

The following is a sampling of recent incidents reported by the Decatur County (GA) Sheriff’s Office. We do not list domestic incidents, out of respect for the victim’s safety, and we also redact citizens’ names and specific addresses, out of respect for their privacy.

  • On 09/17/2015, Inv. Terry Phillips was contacted by Major Wendell Cofer and advised of a Theft by Deception incident that had occurred in Decatur County Ga. on 12/01/2014. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Gradie Featherstone, 17, of Cambridge, England, on the charge of theft by deception.
  • On 9-18-2015, at approximately 2043 hours, I, Sgt. Godwin, responded to a business located on Dothan Road, in reference to a Disturbance.
  • On 09/20/2015, at 0947 hours, Deputy Presilla was dispatched to Bainbridge Bike Fest grounds, in reference to a stolen golf cart.
  • On 9-19-2015 at approximately 0151 hours, I, Sgt. Godwin, along with Deputy Peak and Deputy Kelly, responded to the Bikefest grounds on Pondtown Road, in reference to a Fight.
  • On September 18, 2015 at 2018 hours Deputy Justin Kelly responded to Holt Road, in reference to Cruelty to an Animal.
  • On 09/19/2015 at 1747 hours, Deputy Peak was dispatched to Moses Chapel Road, in reference to Damage to Property.
  • On Thursday, September 17, 2015, Deputy Daryl Long responded to the Faceville Community Store about a man harassing customers and store employees.
  • On September 17, 2015 at approximately 2345 hours Deputy Justin Kelly responded to the intersection of Meadowbrook Drive and Thompson Street, in reference to Damage to a well.
  • On 09/11/2015, at 0920 hours, Deputy Presilla was dispatched to Dollar Drive, in reference to a Burglary.
  • On Saturday, September 12, 2015, Deputy Daryl Long responded to an attempted Burglary at Plum Nelly Circle.
  • On Tuesday, September 09, 2015, Deputy Daryl Long met with complainant on Bud Harrell Road, in reference to an Assault.
