Pelham City Middle School FFA has been designated as a National Outstanding Middle School Chapter Award finalist by the National FFA Organization.
Pelham City Middle School FFA is one of five finalists, and will compete for overall honors at the National FFA Convention held in Louisville, Kentucky in October.
To be considered for the award, Pelham City Middle School FFA had to complete a National Chapter Award Application. The application evaluates FFA chapters that have successfully completed an annual Program of Activities (PoA), including a series of activities designed to encourage its members to grow as individuals, to work as part of a team and to serve others.
Pelham City Middle School FFA received a gold rating by the Georgia FFA Association and became eligible to compete for a National FFA 3-star, 2-star or 1-star ratings.
Chapters that receive a national 3-star chapter rating are also eligible to compete for the National Model of Innovation, Model of Excellence and Outstanding Middle School Chapter Awards.

The Pelham Banking Company is helping lead fundraising efforts to send these 8 deserving students with 2 Chaperones to Louisville, KY October 26th – October 30th.
Although the students are willing to do fundraisers, this notification came quickly and the cost is estimated at a little over $5000.
