Winning lottery ticket worth $750K sold in Thomas County

GeorgiaLotteryLogoATLANTA – A winning Georgia Lottery instant ticket worth three-quarters of a million dollars was sold in Thomas County. Aden’s Minit Market #50, 3790 Highway 111 in Meigs, sold a winning ticket worth $750,000 playing Giant Jumbo Bucks – Anniversary Edition.

The winner, Veronica Pigler of Meigs, claimed her prize March 4 at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Tifton.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $16 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.7 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.3 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
