Bainbridge Middle School baseball loses tough game to Maclay

The Bainbridge Middle School Bearcats dropped a 17-1 decision to Maclay School in Tallahassee on Monday.

Bainbridge Middle School was led by Sam Boutwell’s hitting. Boutwell went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning.

Harrison recorded the win for Maclay. He tossed two innings of shutout ball. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered one hit.

McCollum, Fisher and Willis helped lead Maclay. They combined for four hits and seven RBIs.

Maclay took the lead in the first, scoring three runs on a two-run error and a groundout by Palmer.

Maclay pushed across six runs in both the second inning and the third. In the second, Maclay scored on an error, plating Willis.

The third inning saw Bainbridge Middle School score its only run on the day on a solo home run by Boutwell.
