Two SW GA basketball teams win state championships

The Seminole County Indians’ boys basketball team defeated Crawford County 76-71 in the Georgia Class AA state championship game on Friday afternoon.

Seminole County’s Jordan Harris scored 41 points. He scored 11 of his team’s final 13 points and made 5 of 6 free throws in the final minute, starting with the two that broke a 69-69 tie with 59.2 seconds left.

Harris also had 11 rebounds, six steals, four assists and one blocked shot. One of the steals came in final minute and he created a turnover by tipping away a pass on the subsequent possession.
