The Bainbridge High School basketball teams traveled to Seminole County to play the Indians for the third time this year. The Bearcat boys had won the first two games in December and the Indians were seeking revenge.
The gym was packed to capacity with die-hard basketball fans and the game was a really good one to watch. The Indians were the first to score but would trail the Bearcats the rest of the game. The Bearcats were up as much as 12 points during the game but the Indians narrowed the margin to just one point toward the end. The final score was 78-74. With the win, the BHS varsity boys now have 15 wins on the season and only 3 losses.
The Bearcats had four players in double figures: Tyree Crump with 23 points and 6 assists, Trevon Shaw with 19 points and 10 rebounds, Devontae Jones with 15 points and 10 rebounds and Derrick Jones with 11 points and 4 steals.
The Lady Bearcats also beat the Seminole County Lady Indians. The Lady Bearcats are now 13-4 on the season.
On Friday, Bainbridge’s basketball teams will host Albany High School at home and on Saturday, the BHS boys and girls will travel to Adel to play Cook County.
