‘Polar Express’ to visit Shotwell Street business Saturday

polar express 1Local children can ride a small version of “The Polar Express” this Saturday as part of a winter festival at the Henry House, 922 E. Shotwell Street in Bainbridge.

Children can ride the train between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., the cost is $1 per ride. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will be at the Henry House, a blue house located just east of the intersection of Shotwell and Lamar streets.

There will be a catered luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with food catered by Sundown Restaurant and the profit from ticket sales benefit Memorial Hospital Manor.  Tickets are $10.00 each for lunch, which includes Chicken Alfredo, garlic toast, baked apple crisp and your choice of sweet or unsweet tea.  Purchase of a ticket will automatically enter you in a drawing for a LARGE gift basket filled with product and service donations by the PE vendors and various local businesses.

Adults can shop at The Henry House gift shop, and Children’s Author Patsy Henry on hand to autograph books.

There will be live music soloists, sax player, clarinet players, banjo, guitar flutists through out the day playing holiday music.
