As the Thanksgiving season approaches, we are all reminded to give thanks to those special people in our lives. Memorial Hospital and Manor would like to say thank you to our community for your continued support and loyalty, and for making us your provider of choice.
We appreciate our patients and their families, and keep them at the heart of everything that we do. We are honored to be here for you, and we all want to ensure your continued health and happiness. To give back to the community that means so much to us, we will host a free health community fair on November 5, 2014 from 7 a.m. to noon at the Bainbridge YMCA on Shotwell Street in Bainbridge.
The health fair is completely free of charge. The free preventative services provided are valued at over $500, and are offered at absolutely no cost to the community. The Health Fair will include blood tests that measure cholesterol and glucose levels, Prostrate screening tests for men over age 50, pulmonary function testing, blood pressure check, body mass index measurement, vision screening, and bone density screening. We will also have free health educational and community resources available at this event.
Flu Shots will be available for $25.00, and eligible individuals may be eligible to file part or all of the cost of the flu shot towards Medicare, Medicaid, or Insurance.
All participants are encouraged to not eat or drink anything after midnight the night before to receive more accurate test results. We also ask that anyone that would like to participate to please complete a pre-registration form and return via fax to (229) 243-3340, via email to angelm@mh-m.org, or you can drop off the form to the registration desks at the front of the hospital or the Emergency Department by 10/27/2014.
