He is set out to dominate college football his senior year at Middle Tennessee State University. The senior linebacker has been listed to the Rotary Lombardi award watch for the second year in a row. The award is given to the nation’s top lineman or linebacker.

TT also added a sack, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 interceptions to his 2014 stats. These numbers led Barber to a Second Team All-Conference-USA selection.

2015 looks to be bright for TT Barber as he starts his senior campaign. He was voted Preseason First Team All-Conference-USA, as well as the Lombardi award watch. Barber has high hopes for the Blue Raiders as they go through their second year in the Conference-USA.

With just over a month left until kickoff, the Blue Raiders are preparing for the season. Barber said, “Right now we are working with the Freshmen and role players for the upcoming season. We’re looking forward to playing Jacksonville State and see how the young guys have matured through the Summer.”

Middle Tennessee has a huge road test on September 12th as they travel to Tuscaloosa to face the Alabama Crimson Tide. Barber said, “We’re going to prepare for them the way we prepare for everybody. We gotta be focused and prepare mind over body. We’re not going to back down from anyone and hopefully the mind over body concept can lead us to a Conference-USA title.”

TT Barber will leave it all on the field his Senior year and hopefully it will lead him to a conference title, bowl game, and a Lombardi award. TT stated, “Being named to the Lombardi award watch is an honor. I’m going to play my heart out and see where it takes me.”
