The Thomasville Bulldogs varsity boys basketball team edged Bainbridge Saturday night in a nonregion game 57-52.
The Bearcats were led by Devonte Jones’ 13 points. Myles Thomas also added 13 points, while Trevon Shaw scored 12 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.
The Bainbridge Lady Bearcats squeaked by the Thomasville Lady Bulldogs by a score of 37-35. Patra Parris led the Lady Bearcats with 16 points, while Alex Carter chipped in eight for Bainbridge.
Both the Bearcat boys and the Lady Bearcats won their Friday night games against region rival Cairo.
Both Bainbridge varsity teams’ season record is now 7-2. After Christmas, the Bainbridge High School varsity teams will be in action at the Thomasville High School Hoopfest tournament, to be held Dec. 26, 27 and 29.
Harris leads Seminole County Indians to win
The Seminole County varsity boys basketball team beat Baker County 84-40 over the weekend. Seminole star Jordan Harris led Seminole County with 14 points, Alex Fudge added 13, Anfernee King had 12 and Jahmyka Pearson added 11 points for the Indians.
