The 2013-2014 class of the local leadership course, Leadership Decatur County celebrated their graduation Thursday night, May 15 at the Firehouse Gallery. The keynote speaker, former Georgia Secretary of State and current President of Young Harris College, Cathy Cox congratulated the graduates on their accomplishment and encouraged them to use the leadership experience to become effective leaders in their community. Cox is a founding member of the Leadership Decatur County initiative and former resident of Bainbridge.
The Leadership class consisted of 9 months of education, ranging from business etiquette to team building and is administered through the Bainbridge Decatur County Chamber of Commerce. Participants of the course were encouraged to grow as leaders, as well as become more active members of their community.
