The Georgia DOT has announced that the roadway is cleared and traffic has resumed normal operation.
ORIGINAL STORY
The Georgia Department of Transportation is reporting an overturned semi truck and trailer blocking State Route 1 (Highway 27 S) in Miller County, near milepost 3.
The Georgia State Patrol and DOT are on the scene of the accident and the southbound lanes are expected to be blocked for several hours while the scene is cleared.
Southbound traffic is being re-routed onto Bryan Road until the road is cleared.
