According to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, southwest Georgia could see excessive amounts of rainfall over the course of our Father’s Day weekend. Specifically, Saturday could bring isolated totals of 2-5 inches in certain areas, which would bring with it the potential for localized flooding.
From the National Weather Service:
“The Weather Prediction Center has highlighted our area in a marginal risk for excessive rainfall tomorrow. Widespread rainfall totals this weekend will be around 1-2 inches. However, our local high-res guidance indicates that isolated areas could see totals of 2-5 inches, which could cause local areas of flooding.”
