- BAINBRIDGE, GA (POST SEARCHLIGHT) – Following the conclusion of the 14 day waiting period required by state law, the Decatur County School Board officially hired Tim Cochran as the new superintendent at a called board meeting Friday afternoon.
- HAMILTON, Ga. (AP) – A man accused of shooting a Georgia sheriff’s deputy during a traffic stop has been denied bond.
- HARRIS COUNTY, GA (WTVM) – Magistrate Judge Jennifer Webb denied bond for 24-year-old Joe Garrett during a first appearance hearing at the Harris Co. Jail on Monday.
- WAKULLA COUNTY, FL (WTXL) – The Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office has recovered a body from the Wakulla River Saturday afternoon.
- THOMASVILLE, Ga.(VALDOSTA DAILY TIMES) — A highly traveled Thomasville thoroughfare will get a new look in 2017.
- DOTHAN, AL (DOTHAN EAGLE) – Dothan police recently arrested a woman and charged with financially exploiting her 88-year-old neighbor.
