According to a local resident, a train has blocked motorists on Sims Street in Bainbridge since about 6am Wednesday morning. Reportedly, the train had not moved at all and was still sitting idle as of 7:10 am this morning.
Sims Street is an important corridor for morning school traffic, school buses, and commuters as well as pedestrians. Those normally using Sims Street are encouraged to avoid this railroad crossing intersection with Sims Street and seek alternate routes such as Whigham Dairy Road or Hwy 97.
