Eight hits weren’t enough for the Seminole County Indians Varsity as it lost a shootout, 18-10 in seven innings, to Thomasville on Tuesday.
Alex Fudge led the Seminole County Indians Varsity’s offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He singled in the first inning.
The top of the first saw Thomasville take an early lead, 3-0. King got things going for Thomasville with a single. Thomasville then tacked on more runs when Rice and Green scored on a two-run single by Wright.
The Seminole County Indians Varsity posted two runs in each of the first, third and fourth. In the first, the Seminole County Indians Varsity scored on an RBI single by Tyler Peters, plating Fudge.
Thomasville went up for good in the third, scoring five runs on a two-run double by Rice and an RBI single by Milam.
Thomasville built upon its lead with 10 runs in the fourth. Ratzlaff’s single got things going, plating Wright and Milam. That was followed up by Myers’ single, scoring Clark.
