Last Friday on March 14, the Grace literary team attended the GISA AA region competition. The Grace team did very well and came away with two first place trophies. Brent Warr placed first in the Boy’s solo competition and Dakota Vickers placed first in the piano competition. Our other teams also did very well with the Trio (Hannah Holden, Kaitlyn Holcombe, and Lindsey Duke) placing second, Quartet (Brent Warr, Anders Austinson, Josiah Austinson, and Logan Davis) placing second, Girl’s Solo (Kaitlyn Holcombe) placing second, Spelling (Jack McRae) placing second, Argumentative Essay (Mikayla Buckhalter) placing second, Duo Interpretation (Brad Spooner and Ruth Marie Carraway) placing third, and Humorous Oral Interpretation (Gabby Hardee) placing third. The Trio, Quartet, Boy’s Solo, Girl’s Solo, Piano, Spelling, and Argumentative Essay will all be advancing to the GISA AA state competition next Wednesday, March 25, at Valdosta State University.
