Almost every railroad crossing in Bainbridge and Decatur County will be closed for a period of 2-5 days with Bainbridge particularly affected beginning on November 18th.
At times next week, the only crossing open will be on Martin Luther King, as all other streets with railroad crossings will be closed temporarily for track upgrades.
The upgrades are being done to facilitate faster rail traffic from 25 mph to 45 mph as the rail speed limit is increased.
Drivers will need to allow extra time and plan their routes all of next week.
