Library News: New Books, Cooking Demo, Minecraft Club and More

New Books at the Library                                             

Come check out the new books that we have for you at the Decatur County – Gilbert H. Gragg Library! Southern Discomfort by Tena Clark, Inheritance: A Memoir of Genealogy, Paternity, and Love by Dani Shapiro, and Rethinking School: How to Take Charge of Your Child’s Education by Susan Wise Bauer are just a few of the books that have just arrived. Get these and more at the library today.

Cooking Demonstration

Come to the library on Saturday, February 23rd at 2 pm for our Cooking Demonstration! Tyler Thomas of The American will lead a demonstration on how to make the soup from scratch! A soup tasting will follow the demonstration.

Minecraft Club

Come to the library on Thursday, February 7th at 4 pm for Minecraft Club! Participants of all skill levels are welcome. The library has a limited number of devices available, but please bring a device if you have one. If you have any questions or would like more information, contact the library at 229-248-2665, ext. 112.


Darkness to Light: Stewards of Children

Come to the library on Friday, February 22nd at 10 am for child sexual abuse prevention training led by Elizabeth Whaley and sponsored by Decatur County Family Connection. For ages 18 and up. Please register in advance by contacting Elizabeth Whaley at elizabethkwhaley@gmail.com.
