CHARTER SCHOOL: Spring Creek Charter Academy Purchases Land, Announces Student Lottery

Spring Creek Charter Academy, a replication of the Pataula Charter Academy, has announced plans to open a charter school in Decatur County for the 2019-2020 school year.

The school will be located on a recently purchased 42 acre block of land at the corner of Mills Road and Vada Road, just northeast of the Bainbridge City Limits.  The long time horse pasture will soon house modular buildings that will accommodate grades K-5 for the first school year.

The attendance zone (counties where students live) will include Decatur, Seminole and Miller counties, although children of board members or teachers from other counties will receive priority registration.  According to the school’s website, pre-registration for the enrollment lottery is later this month.

We will be using an online platform for pre-enrollment and our lottery to ensure accuracy and transparency in the enrollment and lottery process.  The link below will be used to submit a pre-enrollment application.  (For people without internet access, paper copies will be available upon request.) The deadline for submission of pre-enrollment is Thursday, February 21st at 3PM.  The lottery will be held Saturday, February 23 at 10AM at the Kirbo Center in Bainbridge.
Spring Creek Charter Academy is also hiring teachers for the upcoming school year with an application deadline of February 15th.
