Southwest Georgia saw two separate fatal crashes within a couple of hours on Tuesday afternoon.
The first occurred on Highway 91 in Seminole County after noon on Tuesday near the intersection of Grady Cobb Road.
Grady Cobb Road intersects with Highway 91 North, just north of Donalsonville.
The road was blocked for some time as crews worked to clear the scene.
The second accident occurred on Highway 309 North, just north of Bainbridge in Decatur County.
Based on photos from the scene, it appears that a car collided with a piece of farm equipment.
Rob Dollar Road and Highway 309 intersect just north of the Highway 97 and 309 split in Decatur County.
As harvest season approaches, more pieces of slow moving equipment will be on the south Georgia roads and the Georgia DOT is urging motorists to use extreme caution.
